iQmetrix, a provider of retail management solutions, recently announced that APW Brands, an airport-based retailer of electronics and wireless accessories, has selected XQ Interactive Retail and RQ Retail Management System to deliver great experiences.

The Philadelphia International Airport location is the first in a series of stores to be outfitted with interactive digital displays that bring elements of online and mobile shopping experiences into the physical store through a suite of applications.

Boasting a sleek, stylized design aesthetic, APW Brands consumer electronics and wireless accessory stores can be found in major airports across the United States. When they began planning to expand into additional airport locations, APW Brands sought a cohesive retail management solution that would deliver integrated applications to run the business along with rich, interactive touchscreen software to attract, educate and engage its customers in the front of the house, said the company.

The newly remodeled Tech Interaction store in Terminal C of the Philadelphia International Airport recently celebrated its grand re-opening. Other stores slated for this new technology include Pittsburgh International, Baltimore Washington International and Philadelphia International - Terminal B, with four additional stores to be rolled out in the coming months, said the company.
