David Dalzell, founder and managing director of ONELAN Ltd., established ONELAN in 1988 and focused on digital signage and IPTV for the last 12 years. Mr. Dalzell led the company from its humble beginnings in his garage to the growing organization it is now, employing more than 40 people worldwide.
Mr. Dalzell passed away recently following a long battle with cancer. He was born in 1955.
He was particularly proud of ONELAN winning two Queen's Awards for Enterprise — one for Innovation, the other for International Trade. A series of industry awards and continued growth bear testament to Mr. Dalzell's vision and drive, the company said.
"David will be much missed," said Nick Randall, ONELAN's chairman. "Over the past two years, he strengthened the board and management teams with a view to securing the long-term future of the company. We continue to pursue David's vision."
