Digital Signage Expo’s Spin on the Mannequin Challenge

0

Digital Signage Expo (DSE), the world’s largest and longest running conference and trade show exclusively dedicated to showcasing innovative digital display and interactive technology solutions for customer and employee communications, recently participated in a version of the popular Mannequin Challenge to help promote its annual event, taking place this March in Las Vegas.

Although a few weeks late to the Mannequin Challenge YouTube rush, DSE’s video is a slightly different take in that it humorously calls attention to previous Internet video challenges that captivated the modern world including the Cinnamon Challenge, Planking and the unforgettable Ice Bucket Challenge. This clever take on the subject from Exponation (the company behind DSE and other industry-leading audiovisual trade shows including LightShow West and LED Specifier Summit amongst others) uses these video happenings as a springboard to highlight the distinction between static signage and dynamic digital signage and why the latter is a necessity for any 21st century business model.

Exponation wanted in on the Mannequin challenge, especially since it provided such a perfect opportunity to promote digital signage as an alternative to obsolete static signage,” said DSE Show Director Andrea Varrone. “So our creative team pulled this together as a way to bring awareness to DSE. We hope you enjoyed it, and we hope you will come see us in Vegas in March!”

Check out the video below for yourself, and feel free to help us share it around. In addition to serving as general promotion for the trade show, DSE is using this video as an example to entrants for the DSE ‘Through Your Lens’ Video Competition, news of which will be coming soon to the DigitalSignageExpo.net and to DigitalSignageConnection.com.

Digital Signage Expo 2017 will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center (March 28-31).
