Focus Media Secures 1,000th Building for Digital Media Network

The successful deployment has been completed at all three of Singapore’s top tallest skyscrapers.

Focus Media Network, the largest digital out-of-home media company in Hong Kong and Singapore, announced it has completed the deployment of its digital media network in the elevator lobbies of The Gateway twin towers in Singapore.

This marks a new milestone for Focus Media, attaining the group’s 1,000th building under its Office & Commercial Building media network. Designed by the world renowned architect I.M. Pei, The Gateway, with its crystalline twin towers, is a stunning landmark on the Singapore skyline. The building is owned by Singapore Land Limited.

Focus Media announced in September 2012 the successful deployment of its digital media network at the elevator lobbies of One Raffles Place, Singapore’s tallest landmark; and thus completed the deployment at all three of Singapore’s top tallest skyscrapers — One Raffles Place, Republic Plaza and UOB Plaza. Focus Media now boosts a network of 600 and 400 premium office and commercial buildings in the prime business districts of Hong Kong and Singapore, respectively; reaching more than 80 percent of white-collar workers in both Hong Kong and Singapore.

Since 2004, Focus Media has pioneered the unique business model of deploying flat-panel digital displays at elevator lobbies of premium office buildings and shopping malls, and has provided entertainment/infotainment to more than half of all PMEBs at their workplace. The network reaches affluent consumers in a captive environment, offering a unique advertising opportunity for numerous advertisers to market their products and services. In addition, Focus Media’s Internet-delivered, “real-time” broadcast in-store digital network deployed at 200 of Mannings’ top health and beauty stores in Hong Kong and 50 of Watsons’ top personal care stores in Singapore in terms of shopper traffic, has provided a highly-effective point-of-sale advertising platform for brands sold at the Mannings and Watsons retail stores.
