As he explains in the recording below, this technology is readily available and used pervasively today. However, we’re likely to see a lot more implementation in the future as biometrics are a natural complement to digital signage. The role of the integrators and users then becomes about how to minimize the price tag that comes with the technology. As most already know, biometrics will interfere with the privacy of the general public including tech-savvy millennials. That said, it still represents a valuable and quantifiable metric, and as Weidmann says, companies won’t fund what they can’t measure. Enjoy.
