As cold fronts descend throughout the last official month of winter weather and flu season reaches its peak, GlaxoSmithKline’s Theraflu has implemented an interactive digital outdoor campaign in Poland to help expedite diagnosis and promote one of its staple products in the process.
Saatchi & Saatchi Switzerland collaborated with Saatchi & Saatchi/Interactive Solutions Poland to provide and install the digital display seen at the Warsaw shopping plaza below. Using a live thermo-scanner camera, the display can detect whether or not a pedestrian is running a fever before providing a visual cue to ease their symptoms with the Theraflu remedy.
If the thermo-scanner camera determines that a person is sick, they can then take and download a thermo selfie and even share it on social media with the hashtag #TherafluThermoscanner. At the very least, it seems like a thermo selfie should suffice as a doctor’s note for getting out of just about anything.
