Look What DSE 2017 Has in Store!

We’re always amazed by the significant number of “new” attendees that our industry and Digital Signage Expo (DSE) are able to attract each year. This is testimony to the continuing growth and interest that a wide variety of organizations have in digital display and interactive technology.

DSE 2017 is no exception. The list of “first-timers” is quite long, much too long to include in this article. But, here’s a sampling:

AETNA, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Boar’s Head, Chanel, Checkers, Helzberg Diamonds, Hershey’s, Hollywood Wax Museum, Hugo Boss, Jockey, John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, Purell, Rooms To Go, Tyson, University of Wyoming, VTech Kids, and Washington & Lee University.

And of course, we’re thrilled to welcome back past attendees such as Dunkin’ Brands, Delta, Disney, Farmers Insurance, Holiday Inn, JCDecaux, JPMorgan Chase, Johns Hopkins University, McDonald’s, Meijer, Neiman Marcus, Office Depot, PNC, Petland, RaceTrac, Sonic, Southwest Airlines, TD Bank, TGI Friday’s, Topgolf and United, just to name a few.

All in all, DSE 2017 is setting up to be a GREAT event for our industry, offering an all-in-one showcase of this amazing technology while providing attendees with a face-to-face, hands-on experience available nowhere else. And, of course, let’s not fail to mention that DSE is a networking “fiesta!”

However, the truth is that maximizing DSE is a challenge for both exhibitors and attendees. Exhibitors need, and want, to see “everybody,” but pure mathematics makes this virtually impossible. It’s just out of the question to see more than 4,000 attendees over the 14 hours that the exhibit hall is open.

And, it’s equally challenging for attendees who try to cover the exhibit floor, which contains more than 200 exhibitions. Here again, the math works against them as it is impossible to meet with over 200 exhibitors in 14 hours.

So, what’s a person to do?

Well, pre-planning helps. For attendees, use all of the information that we provide on our website to create a “target list” of exhibits to visit. Familiarize yourself with the show floor before you attend, and reach out to make appointments with important exhibitors.  Some of this can be expedited by acquainting yourself with our DSE 2017 Mobile App here.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU “WING IT,” WALKING INTO THE SHOW WITHOUT A SPECIFIC PLAN.

And exhibitors? You have the opportunity to reach out to attendees prior to the show to inform them about what is available for them to see and learn.

Savvy exhibitors will also endeavor to meet attendees at every opportunity: our networking functions, during conferences and workshops or simply being more aggressive meeting them as they pass by your exhibit.

We’re here to help in any way that we can. We want DSE 2017 to be THE best conference and trade show that you’ve ever attended, delivering a meaningful ROI. And, we also want you to have some fun in the process.

See you in Las Vegas later this month!
