ONELAN has announced that it won the Digital Signage Project of the Year Award at the A/V Awards 2012 with its NHS Rotherham installation.
NHS Rotherham's internal TV channel, QTV, driven by ONELAN's Net-top-boxes, was the subject of the Digital Signage Project entry.
NHS Rotherham wanted a cost-effective means of delivering information across health facilities. The objective of the QTV content is to build effective and sustainable health capital within the Rotherham community via the most appropriate and influential communication channels. The content needed to comprise health information that could be delivered in an appropriate and timely manner with persuasive impact, the company said.
The QTV service is a television network that distributes health information (posting service information, health promotion campaigns, etc.) to television screens located within patient waiting areas throughout the Rotherham borough. The project demonstrates how effectively digital signage can be used to communicate with a wide audience, the company said.
Universal A/V was responsible for the installation of the digital signage, and Onemedia services remotely monitor the ONELAN Net-top-boxes.
