Ask the Board – August 21, 2017 | ADAM FELDMAN

What was the biggest takeaway from Digital Signage Expo 2017 that you’ve been able to use or implement in the months since the show?”

In corporate America, it’s not easy to get approval or funding to implement something so quickly after a show.  However, there are lots of shiny objects and ideas that I see every year at the show that we bring back and discuss with our team. For me, the OLED displays really looked fantastic. With the weight and ability to utilize double-sided, we can foresee lots of potential opportunities in our environment, specifically the possibility of overheard dynamic “live” directional type signage throughout some of our casino floors. In addition, the ½ height stretch monitors we very intriguing as well. We can see a lot of potential uses for these for our box offices, potential welcome signs, or four-sided directional type signage. As usual, there was a lot to see and review, but the OLED and stretch displays were the two that caught my eye for definite use cases within our company.
