What was the biggest takeaway from Digital Signage Expo 2017 that you’ve been able to use or implement in the months since the show?”
Wow. Trying to narrow it down to one of the biggest takeaways just doesn’t do justice to the scope of this year’s show. There was so much to see in such a short time, and the show floor was filled with new ideas and new products. In fact, I believe the biggest takeaways so far from this year’s event are all of the ideas for product use that we have generated. Since the event, those of us from our company who attended the show have been excitedly sharing photos and experiences from the floor. We have had numerous discussions already about things we saw, and I’m sure there are many more to come. I believe that is the main benefit of a good Expo; to generate ideas and provoke thoughtful conversations on the topics of the show. Sure, it’s great to make connections with vendors and to see so many products all in one place, but it is the generation of ideas on how to use new products that ultimately leads to follow-up with vendors to seek additional information. It will take quite a while for me to follow up on all these ideas … probably not until next year’s show.
