What does the future of advertising look like in terms of using microsignage?

I believe micro-signage could be defined several different ways.  In the convention center business, I would use the term to define smaller digital signage (20-inches and under) installations. We have looked at smaller signage installations in areas such as the outside of meeting rooms, auditoriums, boardrooms and ballrooms.  These are areas where customers normally place foam-board on easels to communicate with attendees. Utilizing micro-signage would be a welcome addition for event organizers because they could save on the cost of printing and utilize the new signage for multiple sessions taking place in the rooms. Additionally, the micro-signage can be used for sponsorship and advertising—new revenue streams for all.
