Do you find that impact of large-format digital signage is usually proportionate to its size? Why or why not?

Many factors influence whether or not a large-format digital sign has an unusually large impact proportionate to its size. At John Glenn Columbus International Airport, we recently installed two 44-foot byu 14-foot LED video walls over our entrances to Concourses A & C. The size of the walls was important, but equally important and key to maximizing viewing time was placing them in a dwell location within the direction of travel. Additionally, with screens this size, getting the resolution correct was important. We ended up selecting a direct view LED that provided a greater than 4K resolution ensuring crisp clear imaging capabilities that allowed advertisers and other providers to develop engaging content. This resolution level also allowed for the display of easily readable flight information from almost any distance within the ticket lobby. Finally, the Omnivex Moxie content management software allowed John Glenn Airport to segment the screen and manage the information and videos in a manner that maximized the amazing video quality of the large-format walls. On a daily basis, we see travelers wow’d by the “Twins,” their “can’t miss” size, their stunning clarity and the engaging content displayed 24/7!
