Digital signage is ideally suited to an audience of many, and so viewer density and total viewer volume is a factor of investment assessment. It makes for an easy investment decision in North America transportation centers as street furniture and other high traffic locations.
The medium is also extremely effective in “audience of some” applications. Highly competitive environments such as retail, food services, financial and health services, where dynamic displays can strongly influence a smaller but important audience, have found active use in other continents as they have in North America.
In cultures that are highly visual such as South America, the medium’s ability to present lively and vibrant images makes it an attractive communications tool.
