What do you value most about Digital Signage Expo (DSE), and why do you come back every year and recommend that your peers return as well?”
I value DSE because there’s always something new; that’s why I haven’t missed a single DSE since the show started 15 years ago. In the beginning, the value for me was in learning about digital signage as I was working to deploy a new network. Once that network was installed, my focus shifted a bit, mostly to content development and management. Now that I’m in a consulting and research role, as well as continuing to serve on the DSE Advisory Board, I’m looking for what’s new and interesting, as well as case studies and stories that could be published in PRI’s quarterly Journal of Retail Analytics. More specifically, I’m finding how the worlds of digital signage and retail analytics intersect and integrate.
As Bill Nye (The Science Guy) says, “Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t.” I always meet people at DSE who can teach me something.
