What changes have you made to meet increasing regulatory compliance and protect against litigation?

Since opening in 2005, we have always given consideration to making our facility accessible to the ADA community. The indoctrination of digital signage is no exception. As with any installation, you have to put yourself in the mindset of the consumer (both able-bodied individuals and those with disabilities). Ask yourself “Can I reach this screen if I were sitting down. Or “If I am visually impaired, will this wall-mounted monitor infringe on my walking path?”

The ADA signage compliance guidelines provides a list of signage requirements and regulations that will aid in making sure your equipment is installed within those guidelines. It’s also helpful to contract an ADA specialist to review your installation, provide feedback and suggestions to make installations the best for all your guests.

By being proactive as well as considering your diverse community of guest, patrons, etc., you can greatly minimize or possibly eliminate litigation.
