Based on past experiences, what lessons can be learned from failures with network implementation/operation?
One of the MOST common issues we see when a network has failed is lack of proper planning and not fully understanding objectives. The objectives drive the message, since they state the business outcomes you are looking for. From there, the message dictates the content, which will lead into the planning of the software and hardware. If you don’t truly understand and articulate what you want out of the system (and make it realistic) then you will most likely fail.
