How do you test emergency notification functionality on large-scale digital signage networks?”


I think this will be an obvious one, but like the cell phone alerts we all receive now, and the cable TV-based alerts, the only way to test is to actually send out a test message. It needs to be clearly labeled as such of course. Otherwise, it’s difficult to establish that communication to each node is actually working. It would also be easy to place a local test display nearby, to verify that the server side functions are working, but that is no guarantee that every separate location is properly set up.
