What improvements have you seen in hardware that have made it easier to install, operate and maintain displays in outdoor locations?”

When dealing with outdoor display locations, it is important to understand the two basic types of installations. The first, one that I have not dealt with, are backlit LED screens housed within an enclosure. Depending on the environment, this screen is installed with or without AC. The second type, which I currently have installed, is a combination of individual modules used to create one large screen. The size I have installed is 12 feet by 7 feet. Because my summer temperatures can reach more than 100 degrees, I have opted to have an AC unit; however, my unit is now five years old and manufacturers have recently come out with modular systems that do not require an AC unit. This helps with installation costs and makes it one less item to configure and maintain.
