What are some of the metrics of success for a non-ad-based digital signage deployment?”


Digital signage is used for the display of menu content here at Taco Bell. With that in mind, for us to be successful, we want to ensure that the signage is able to successfully influence consumer behavior, reduce labor and create a connection between customers and our brand by:

  1. Driving a higher check average (increase sales)
  2. Driving incremental items per transaction
  3. Driving higher volume of purchases of higher profitability items (improve profitability)
  4. Decreasing waste by influencing customers to purchase items requiring depletion
  5. Reducing labor required for managing menu board updates and changes (reduce labor cost)
  6. Leveraging the social experience of food to connect with our customers over social media e.g. display Instagram feeds with Taco Bell products (brand connection)
