How do you develop a strategy to refresh content?

We deal with a lot of data-driven content (instead of videos and images) so the strategy of keeping things fresh is often resolved before we even deploy. With data-driven content, such as information coming from third-party APIs, content is always live and fresh. With advanced HTML5 programming and animation, we can create video-like vignettes using data sources and dynamic motion. We often combine HTML5 animation with more traditional video/image content. Since video is much more time consuming to keep up to date, we first recommend HTML5 with dynamic animation fed by data sources. If a client still expects video content, we create playlists that include video and data driven HTML5 to keep time-consuming video updates to a minimum.
