In general, I think 3D, VR and AR trends offer producers more flexibility since it usually amounts to new tools, new canvases, new distribution opportunities and I’d argue, new audiences.
I do want to say, however, even though this is not a part of the question, that sometimes more options and flexibility is not a good thing. The “flashiness” of these new trends can distract from the content doing its ultimate job, which is to drive the audience toward the ROO or ROI of the network.
Therefore, by all means, explore these new trends. Just make sure that there is good business sense behind doing so.
