Ask the Board – September 5, 2016 | STEVE GLANCEY

What is the best example of triggered content that you have seen or implemented and why?

A few Screenfeed colleagues sat in on a pre-conference DSE 2016 session that profiled a cool project featured in a San Francisco office building. Images and video of the project can be seen in the link below.

The design used data from Twitter and public electricity usage to drive what the designer/artist called “Data Sculptures.” This project does an amazing job of leveraging variable and dynamic data to drive/trigger varying visuals. This may be one of my favorite examples of triggered content to date because it is:

  • Beautiful
  • One of a kind
  • Fulfills the ROO of the project
  • Superfluously luxurious
  • Intelligent Art
