Finding an Integrator to work with, and one that you can trust to ensure your project is completed on time and on budget, can be a stress-inducing experience. How do you know when you’ve found the right one? There are several factors to consider to confidently make that decision. These experts can work with your IT department to ensure the new technology will work with the solutions and processes you want to retain, without disrupting your network.
That should be the expectation when working with an integrator. The professional you choose should be your trusted advisor in the proposed solutions that meet your requirements. If you feel that the integrator is trying to sell you a solution without regard to the desired outcome, that would definitely be a red flag.
Questions to ask:
- Does the integrator have the experience to deliver on the outcome? You do not want to be a guinea pig for this integrator and suffer through any pains of installing the solution. This could delay the delivery as well as the stability of the installed solution.
- What is the geographic presence of this integrator to deliver on a global delivery (if needed)? You want to make sure that the bar is set and you expect to receive a consistent experience and installation outcome across the board at all sites.
- What has the integrator faced in the past as far as conflicts or installation challenges? Were they still able to work through them and meet the proposed timeframes?
- Finally, the integrator should be able to show the internal processes that drive its project management and quality.
