“Are there any new technical capabilities in hardware and/or software opening up new creative options for content playback, design, or interactivity? How are they being applied? How well are they being applied?”

At a recent trade show, I was able to work with one of the Google employees to temporarily configure the Google Assistant to recognize multiple languages with only a short standardized sentence. While this technology is not yet available (and may or may not come to market), you could walk up to the display and speak the sentence in your native language and then have full access to the Google Assistant. In an international city, this technology could give travelers accurate information with audible, visual and touch screen access, frustration free. All this from a connected kiosk or display.
