“Will digital signage continue to evolve to focus on the customer experience, away from simple advertising as we move into 2020?”


I believe that digital signage will continue to move toward solving for the customer experience, as signage and retail overall have made amazing strides in providing an experience that customers are excited about. The biggest stride I’ve seen in the last few years is the focus on understanding what the desired result of the experience is. In other words, we’re starting to really look into what makes the signage successful and how it meshes with any supporting technology. Being connected has really opened a lot of doors as to what a customer can see, hear, and touch.
