“What do you see changing in the digital signage space during this pandemic that might positively or negatively impact your workflow?”
Most of our public-facing signage has changed to support our front-line workers and messages of encouragement for the communities they’re based in. Our internal signage has mostly been turned off during the time when we were all working from home. As we start reopening, we’re bringing things back online.
I would say that, overall, the only change to our workflow was fewer changes beginning in March. That’s beginning to change now.
Producers, art directors and editors can all work through virtual meeting applications to share ideas, storyboards and participate in approval processes. Naturally, the creative procedure might be slowed down a bit because remote work is not processed as fast as a group working together in the same space, but I don’t see this as a major issue.
In this day and age, when remote work is so prevalent, I don’t foresee many issues as it relates to digital signage content or messaging. If you have an Internet connection, there’s no reason you cannot continue to move forward with your digital signage missive.
