“What do you see changing in the digital signage space during this pandemic that might positively or negatively impact your workflow?”
The pandemic has and will continue to change the way that digital signage is used. In many spaces, where large crowds of people used to congregate, there were different advertisements constantly rotating through the displays. Now, many of these displays are being used to provide informational messaging related to the COVID-19 pandemic, which provides information about maintaining social distancing, proper hand washing, and wearing masks for protection. The beauty behind this is that much of the digital signage space can be repurposed to help provide this information to everyone. It just takes time to redesign the layout. This changes the workflow processes from simply updating or adding additional advertisements to designing campaigns and information to utilize displays that can be set aside for these purposes. As we transition back towards returning to a more normal state, the workflow will begin to transition back to advertising and other operationally related information that will need to re-populate these displays.
