“How would you like to see the digital signage industry landscape change over the next five years?”

I am extremely excited to see where the future of digital signage leads us. Below are a few aspects of the industry that I hope to see change in the coming years:

Improved Dynamic Content

I feel we are still in the infancy stages of leveraging cloud-based systems and data-driven content. Continuing to explore dynamic content will lead to more unique and creative ways to engage with consumers.

Less Static Content

Let’s face it. While static content has its place, people are beginning to expect motion. 

Increased Adoption of Interactive

Users often seem hesitant to engage with interactive touchscreens. Within the next five years, I would like to see a shift in those consumers. Hopefully, you will catch more of them expecting interactive displays.

Creative Uses of Projection 

The ability to use projection opens many new doors for creative professionals. When used correctly, projection always proves for a mind-blowing experience. Let’s continue to explore this media.

Digital Collaboration

AR & VR have exploded onto the scene in the past year. Content can now become something you experience and even play with. I expect that we see some collaboration between these digital medias and digital signage.
