“How should educators change the curriculum to prepare future generations for a career in digital?”

As someone who provides education for digital signage, I’m not sure it’s necessarily an issue about curriculum preparation, but rather getting users to understand that it actually requires specialized education. Too many appear to have the impression that it’s “just that easy” and that out-of-the-box solutions exist, which require no planning or understanding. Users need to embrace that digital signage is much more complicated than it appears and that they do need training to properly prepare to deploy a digital signage installation. Programs offered by the DSF and DSEG are great options, and this is a big reason why I advocate for attending DSE!
