More interactive – In order to cater to new generations, digital signage needs to become more interactive with their preferred platform of viewing, and that is not always a digital signage screen. Signage needs to provide the same message on both the screen and portable devices on which individuals are becoming more accustomed to viewing relevant content.
Less expensive – In order for signage to become more widespread, the cost needs to become more reasonable. Hardware and software solutions are becoming less expensive, but still have a long way to go.
More manageable – Today, it takes a specialized skillset to manage most digital signage platforms. This is very costly to maintain (see above) and does not make the technology available to the average user with a message to communicate.
