“What are three things you believe will be dramatically different in the digital signage market five years from now?”

  1. I believe the hologram developer will make great breakthroughs and get us closer to the Star Wars version of holograms. Holotube, Holofan and other cutting-edge companies are pushing the envelope of this technology.
  2. AR and VR will play a more prominent role in connecting customers to the digital signage experience. The barriers that we face today will no longer inhibit businesses from communicating to their customers. As the platform unifies, phone providers will bake these capabilities into the core of their devices and make it commonplace. The key to the success of AR/VR in the future is the compelling content.
  3. Real-time biometrics data can play a huge role in understanding your customer’s real-time experiences and being able to curate that experience through digital signage and other connected technology in the retail space.
