- Traditional digital displays will continue to get thinner, have higher resolution (4K and beyond), faster refresh rates, etc.
- Direct-lit LED panel systems will continue to improve and evolve (and hopefully continue to become more affordable!), making it easier to implement custom-size/aspect ratio displays in places that typically are limited to 16×9 screens.
- More analytics-influenced content strategies — meaning more rule-based, customized or dynamic content displayed based on various factors. This could include time/weather related info, a person’s dwell-time in front of a screen or area, or even “who” is perceived to be in front of a screen at any given time, or just about anything else that can be tracked and measured.
