Three thoughts on how signage may evolve over the next five years:
- The way consumers view and interact with signage and how it is integrated in some ways in to their personal technology. Signage will continue to be smarter. Visual analytics and data-driven content will be the norm, recognizing consumers and delivering custom experiences. Adding to that, integration with apps/phones/wearables will allow for more personal experiences for consumers.
- Voice-driven experiences will be more common via more 1:1 touchpoints and provide ways for 1:1 voice-driven experiences in a one-to-many environment. Voice will also help to automate some retail experiences, providing virtual help or shopping experiences.
- Streamlined hardware that will reduce cost to make a signage solution more accessible to deploy with plug-and-play solutions.
