“What technology will replace Quick Response (QR) codes in the future?”


With the mainstream adoption of the QR code as a step forward from the barcode, many industries and social scenes have adopted it in their products and processes due to its advantages in scanning compared to a barcode.  Our mobile phones are a large consumer source of QR codes, but newer technologies such as NFC might replace the QR code as a “middle-man” so to speak, where your device could be near or touch a spot to capture the same information as it would scanning a QR code.
