“How many displays are enough in any given venue, and when is it too much?”

Digital displays are seen as an exciting and practical addition to any public space. Architects and space planners are now including digital signage early in their design process. In the past, screens were often added as an afterthought sometimes resulting is not enough, or too many. Without an obvious formula to determine the right amount of digital in any given space, step back and decide what you want the viewer to experience and considering the size of the space.  Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Are we installing digital for the sake of having it?
  2. Do we understand how the viewer will interact with it?
  3. Is the space better suited for print signage?
  4. Do we have the right amount of screens to fit the interior design and space objectives?

When screen quantity, placement, style and purpose are considered earlier in the design phase, you’ll have results that work for both the venue operator and the viewer.
