At McCarran International Airport, we basically have two types of digital signage; Advertising and Wayfinding. On the Advertising side, it is a function of the advertiser’s desired content, within our approved ad policy. However, with regards to the wayfinding signs, the airport does indeed take feedback from our employees regarding signs that might not be placed in the best location or might be missing important information or perhaps could be worded differently to better communicate the desired information. In the past, it took much longer to implement any changes/improvements with static signage, but as more digital signs get added to our inventory, it has allowed the airport to respond much more quickly when appropriate. Not only does this practice help us provide better customer service to the traveling public, but it helps our employees feel a greater sense of ownership to see their suggestions take shape.
