“What do you consider when deciding where to install your digital displays in a new environment?”

The first thing I always do when deciding where to install a new digital display is locate the best vantage points.  I also review foot-traffic and ambient light patterns to ensure maximum exposure. Being a visual medium, I believe this has to be at the top of the list of considerations.  Once I have the points selected, the next thing to determine is feasibility to install displays at those ideal locations.  Many factors come into play in my work environment.  I’ll consult with engineers, electricians and information technology team members to review potential pitfalls surrounding structure, electrical access, network connectivity and any future construction/remodeling plans currently in the works.  If some of the locations don’t make the cut, and it’s always possible, it’s best to ask the team members you consult with what locations would work in their opinion.
