In what ways have you been able to exploit your existing digital signage network beyond the original business objectives to provide greater benefit than originally promised?

 We began building our digital signage network with multiple business objectives in mind. We knew it would be versatile enough to improve efficiency in many of our business units, improve the sales environment and inform customers. Even with that start, there have been opportunities that we did not foresee.
We did not expect to manage public-facing signs outside the sales environment. The objectives of those signs require a whole different strategy but have even greater impact.
We expected that call centers would welcome the chance to show information in addition to the call statistics. But we didn’t expect that our network’s economies of scale would make it a more cost-effective solution for showing even just those call statistics.
Lastly, we didn’t expect to replace as many legacy systems. Several business units had already installed systems for queue management, emergency notifications and messaging that our digital signage platform can do better and cheaper.
