“Does gesture control really have a place in digital signage, or is it a flash-in-the-pan trend?”

In my opinion, gesture control isn’t as easy or accurate as touch when it comes to digital signage. I do know that gesture control is much more sanitary than touchscreens, which may be one reason it stays around. But for now, gesture control seems as if it is only a fad that will probably stay around in some capacity. As signage evolves into what we see in movies such as Iron Man and Minority Report, gesture control will become much more relevant.  Gesture control will continue to grow, where it makes sense, such as the home gaming system industry.
