“What is your opinion on using traditional video wall panels vs. tight-pitch LEDs?”
It depends on the use case. For interior retail/restaurant use cases with short viewing distances, a traditional LCD video wall with narrow bezels makes the most sense from a cost and flexibility perspective. In contrast, to accommodate close viewing quarters with LEDs, the pitch would need to be very tight, which would mean a higher density of LED diodes, and that translates to more $$. However, in large signage scenarios like Times Square, the LED pitch and lower density make sense since the viewing distance is larger, meaning the density of diodes can be reduced.
