“What was your biggest takeaway from DSE 2018?”
My biggest takeaway from DSE 2018 was discovering a new approach for setting up meetings with potential partners. Prior to DSE, we had a few solution needs to accomplish an installation project. We were looking for 120 screens to be installed outside of Convention Center meeting rooms, auditoriums and boardrooms. Additionally, we were looking for a Content Management System that we could easily turn over to customers, with limited training time, to populate meeting room agendas and other pertinent information for their attendees. I sent this information out using Twitter, and with a few extremely helpful re-tweets, I received several responses and was able to coordinate a long list of meetings. This approach saved a ton of time and resulted in quality meetings. Vendors knew what we were looking for, and were prepared to demonstrate and discuss their solutions.
We are still in the evaluation stage and have continued dialog with the vendors that had solutions we thought were a good fit for us.
