“SoC vs Media Players: With more and more manufacturers offering System on a Chip (SoC) solutions, what’s the tipping point end users need to consider when planning their solutions?”

At this time, when we consider SoC vs. platforms such as Windows, the difference continues to be the use cases. While many SoC offerings continue to provide more features, they still lack the flexibility of a PC running Windows. SoC offerings will continue to gain traction as they can offer better security and manageability. But if you need to play back certain types of live video or integrate with Active Directory or Outlook, PCs are still the mainstream.
