“In a busy setting, do animation and sound in particular distract viewers from absorbing your messages, or do they help to draw attention? How much is too much?”

It’s believed that sound effects can significantly affect the viewers’ ability to perceive motion.  With interactive graphics and multimedia applications, such as Simulators, 3D games and VR environments, it remains one of the major challenges for computer graphics experts. It should not distract the viewer or annoy them, but only act as a connector between the two mediums.

How much is too much, is based on the creativity of the developer, or director’s vision of the story creating an immersive animated experience without frustrating the viewers who want to lose themselves inside the magic of the animated fantasy world.
