When animation and sound in digital signage is being deployed, it is always wise to make sure the setting is appropriate and useful. In a busy setting, as long as distractions are not a safety concern and the sound can be reasonably heard, it may assist in drawing attention to your message. Imagine walking through a casino with all the sights and sounds. It can be overwhelming. You would have to cut through the noise and background images with something full of contrast to catch someone’s attention. A contrasting sound unlike the others or flashy animation is all you have to attract your potential viewer. Of course, you must weigh the content of the sound and animation with your message to make sure you are not getting away from the goal.
