TORONTO (November 3, 2016) – It’s that time of the year again for growing moustaches, getting active, and raising awareness for men’s health. This Movember, the month formally known as November, the Movember Foundation alongside Cieslok Media, Canada’s leader in large-format outdoor advertising, and Carat Canada, leader in digital and diversified media solutions, show off Movember participants in a big way! Leveraging Cieslok Media’s premium digital displays and social media integration capabilities, participants using the hashtag #WhyWeMo will be showcased on DOOH across Canada.
The Movember Foundation, the only global charity solely focused on men’s health, is most famously known for Movember – the moustache growing fundraising campaign. This November will be marked by Movember’s first integration of social media with stunning digital displays across Canada. The execution will create mass awareness for men’s health, engage audiences in memorable ways, and most importantly, spotlight the enthusiastic participants, known as Mo Bros and Mo Sistas.

Movember advertisements on Cieslok Media’s digital displays began on October 19th; social media integration rolled out across the country the week of October 31st. Mo Bros and Mo Sistas simply have to post their pictures on Instagram with #WhyWeMo to be showcased in major Canadian markets: Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, and Montreal. #WhyWeMo pictures are positioned to grab attention and drive involvement, especially on DOOH at landmark locations like popular downtown Toronto hub, Yonge-Dundas Square and Vancouver’s #1 shopping district, Robson and Granville.

Carat Canada, a pro bono partner of Movember, planned and bought the media, and also recommended the social execution to add an emotional connection to the campaign. Additional ad spots were donated to the Movember Foundation by Cieslok Media through the Cieslok Cares program, amplifying the reach and impact of the campaign. The Movember #WhyWeMo campaign will go on until November 30th. Funds from Movember 2016 will go on to support the work to find breakthrough solutions to improve the lives of men dealing with prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.
