A global portfolio of clients is set to enjoy augmented functionality in 2016, with the release of DeskAlerts 220.127.116.11. New functionalities include a multi-device friendly Digital Signage feature, as well as two mobile apps for iOS and Windows Phone users.
“The latest DeskAlerts Version 18.104.22.168 delivers, with a handful of exciting new features designed to improve functionality, productivity and flexibility,” says Roman Toporkov, Lead Developer at DeskAlerts.
Stealing the spotlight is the all new Digital Signage feature. Designed to offer DeskAlerts workplaces superlative functionality and flexibility, the feature allows administrators to send pop-up notifications to any device capable of opening a web browser. Previously, viewing DeskAlerts notifications was restricted to desktops running on Windows/OS X, and Android/iOS mobile devices. Now, the new Digital Signage feature supports notification distribution to any internet compatible device. As well as smartphones, tablets and PCs, content publishers, will also be able to send notifications to smart TVs, digital signage boards, electronic whiteboards and more. Whatever the sector, the new feature takes communication tools in the workplace to the next level.
Complementing the new Digital Signage feature is enhanced mobile functionality for iOS and Windows Phone. The in-house team of software engineers has developed two new applications that make the handheld DeskAlerts faster, smarter and more intuitive than ever. The improvements are all part of the company’s commitment to offering its clients paramount mobile communication tools in the workplace.
Featuring a new look interface, the iOS mobile v.8.2 app has been reimagined as a user friendly feature. New features include mass messaging or targeted messaging capability, a revamped menu, alerts and survey separation, a ‘Contact Us’ page for demo or trial servers and the removal of several bugs.
For Windows Phone users, the new mobile app v.1.0 offers a wealth of features that surpass the functionality of both its iOS and Android counterparts. Administrators can add alerts to customized ‘favorites’ categories and activate unobtrusive mode on weekends and vacations.
“Mobile is continually augmenting its presence in modern workplaces, which is why we tasked our in-house engineers to develop new ways for our clients to connect at the touch of a button. The new iOS and Windows Phone app offer mobile users feature rich handheld solutions that define our dedication to developing next generation communication tools in the workplace,” adds Toporkov.
