Digital Signage Expo 2016: Your Guide to the Show Floor

dse_show_floor_guide_article_photoDSE welcomes attendees to our 13th show, which features an abundance of digital signage professional education, networking and, of course, business opportunities — right on the show floor!

For starters, DSE 2016 hosts more than 200 exhibitors offering a complete range of products and services, including dozens of first-time exhibitors and international exhibitors. You’ll find more than 20 of those DSE newcomers in Innovator Zone (located near Booth 627).

For even more inspiration, you will have the opportunity to check out the more than 30 entries in the New Product Showcase (located on the right as you enter the show, along the front wall). Though the featured products include noteworthy new developments in connectivity, displays, media players, mounts and more, the innovation you’ll find at DSE 2015 doesn’t stop there. As many of the early product announcements and trends we’ve previously highlighted indicate, you’ll find evidence of the show’s “Endless Innovation. On Display.” theme throughout the show.

If you’re a newcomer to the industry, or this is the first time you’ve visited DSE, you may want to stop at the Digital Signage Federation booth (3010), where you’ll find a friendly and knowledgeable group of members ready and willing to help you understand the many moving parts of the industry and navigate the show. DSE is the official show of this industry trade association.

While there’s still time to sign up for the extensive DSE Conference program and its variety of Digital Signage Expert Group certification courses, you may find answers to some your educational needs in the two free on-floor workshop theaters, the Best Practices Theater (Booth 1431), sponsored by BroadSign, and the Digital Content Show Theater (Booth 1637), sponsored by Screenfeed. Each on-floor workshop theater features several 30-minute sessions per day, for a total of 27 free sessions over the show’s two-day run. Seating is limited to 50, so unless you don’t mind standing, be sure to arrive a few minutes early.

And though they’re not free, the 44 Industry Roundtable discussion groups, also sponsored by BroadSign and located conveniently on the show floor, offer a unique education and peer networking opportunity geared toward more than 15 key industry verticals. Since many of these popular small-group sessions, which are open only to end users, network operators, ad agencies and commercial integrators, are sold out, you’ll want to check with DSE registration in the main lobby for availability. The Industry Roundtable area (Booth 3040) is located in the back right-hand corner of the exhibit hall.

In Booth 521, you’ll find the End User Networking Center, which DSE introduced last year as a meeting place and hangout for digital signage employees of retail and restaurant establishments, education, healthcare and transportation facilities, and so forth. Check at the front desk of the Networking Center for the hourly meetup schedule.

One other stop you may want to make on the show floor is the APEX Awards Gallery (Booth 321), where you can see profiles of the more than 150 entries in this year’s APEX Installation and Content Awards competition. This year’s APEX Awards winners will be announced at the free networking reception and APEX Awards Ceremony Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hall N2.
