Atlanta – Digital Signage Expo (DSE), the world’s largest international trade show and educational conference dedicated to digital displays, interactive technology and digital communications networks, announced today that Jennifer Gillum, Digital Signage Specialist at West Virginia University, and Ron Santana, Manager of Digital Media Services for Towson University, will participate in a panel discussion at DSE 2017 entitled, “Creating a Wise Investment with Proper Planning.”
To be presented Thursday, March 30, at 9 a.m., this session will explore potential obstacles, including identifying the goals of the screens, where to place them, understanding which hardware and content management system will be needed as well as how to seamlessly integrate the additions into existing systems. Attendees will learn:
- How to properly plan for a digital signage rollout or expansion
- What factors to consider when building a case study
- Who to involve ensuring all stakeholder perspectives are represented
DSE Advisory Board members reflected on past experiences and lessons learned the hard way, suggesting:
“One of the most common issues we see when a network has failed is the lack of proper planning and not fully understanding objectives.”
Jonathan Brawn, Principal, Brawn Consulting
“No matter how thoroughly and comprehensively you plan your network deployment, there will inevitably be something you didn’t anticipate.”
Margot Myers, Director of Global Marketing & Communications, The Platt Retail Institute
