Atlanta – Digital Signage Expo (DSE), the world’s largest international trade show and educational conference dedicated to digital displays, interactive technology and digital communications networks, announced today that its Digital Signage General End User Seminar Program at DSE 2018 designed specifically for end users, will feature an hour-long session titled, “Deploying Digital Signage Solutions in Stadium and Entertainment Venues.”
On Wednesday, March 28 at 4 p.m., Dane Oldridge, Technical Solutions Specialist for Intel, will present a session that will provide an in-depth profile of digital signage for sports and entertainment facilities. Attendees will learn how multiple vendors work together to meet the wide-ranging needs of an entertainment venue; how discrete communication platforms come together to communicate a unified content and advertising strategy; and some best known methods of entertainment deployments showcasing successful implementations.
“The best way to coordinate an installation in an entertainment venue is to create a digital signage package for the construction and design team so they can build from the start and allocate the necessary resources for electrical, data paths, mounting requirements, equipment space/access, cool/heating ventilation and post support/content maintenance,” said Ralph Schorbach, Technology Manager for Fairplex. “This is a cradle-to-grave scenario; watch and work on every aspect. What you spend now will save you 10-fold down the road.”
“In order to meet the unique challenge of deploying digital solutions in-arena, there are a few key points to consider,” said Jim Riley, Director of Marketing for the Columbus Blue Jackets. “These include making sure you define the purpose of the piece (is the focus on content, video, data-driven results or sales related?); implementing dynamic creative; understanding the timing and atmosphere of a live event; and staying up-to-date with the new technology that’s constantly changing and finding ways to monetize the digital signage network. All of these factors contribute to the overall goal of providing hockey games that are fun, family friendly, exciting and entertaining for our fans.”
