Atlanta – Digital Signage Expo (DSE), the world’s largest international trade show and educational conference dedicated to digital displays, interactive technology and digital communications networks, announced the next installment in its free weekly webinar series to be presented in the first quarter targeting specific end user verticals.
The third in the series, to be presented Thursday, January 25 at 2 p.m. EST, will benefit higher education administrators, technologists and communications and marketing professionals responsible for their facilities’ digital communications network.
Titled, “Enhancing the University Campus Experience with Digital Signage,” the 30-minute session will be moderated by Executive Editor of Campus Technology Rhea Kelly, with presenters Thomas Kunka, Senior Applications Specialist of Technology Services for the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and Gary Harris, Digital Video Engineer for the University of Notre Dame.
The webinar will discuss and identify such topics as:
- The most common applications of digital signage in a university venue,
- The benefits of using digital signage for university students, faculty and visitors,
- How digital signage helps to create viewer engagement,
- How the campus experience is enhanced through the use of digital signage,
- The most important things an on-premise network operator should consider when planning a digital signage installation,
- What common mistakes to avoid, and…
- The skill sets required when operating a digital signage network in a university setting.
“The impact of technology in education can go well beyond the realm of online teaching and learning,” said Kunka. “In what we call ‘digital signage,’ we have an intersection between the digital and physical worlds. When we blur the lines between technology and architecture, we have opportunities to reshape the campus experience. That is very exciting.”
“Digital signage on a higher-ed campus is an opportunity to help facilitate story-telling by both the faculty and staff, market the brand and communicate with visitors, staff and students,” said Harris. “
Attendance for this 30-minute webinar is free, but registration is required at: https://www.anymeeting.com/PIID=ED53DB87824830
